Lima, February 2024. Pesquera Hayduk obtained the highest rating in the annual inspection of Sanitary Control by Risk-Based Processes carried out by the National Fishery Health Agency (SANIPES).

The company obtained an A rating, the highest level of compliance granted by SANIPES, in its seven production lines. It is the only large company in the fishing sector to achieve the highest rating in all of its production lines.

“The A rating represents the highest level of compliance in the sanitary aspects of the fishing infrastructure and product safety, as well as in important aspects of food management. We are proud to have obtained the highest rating in all our production lines,” said Miguel León, Quality Director of Pesquera Hayduk.

SANIPES awarded an A rating to all of the fishing company’s sites, including the Malabrigo and Végueta flour and oil plants, and the Coishco flour, oil and frozen products plant. At four of these plants, Hayduk improved its performance over last year’s rating.

The risk-based process inspection aims to achieve a more accurate assessment of the nature and complexity of each stage of the production chain of the companies it observes. To this end, SANIPES prioritizes its inspection activities according to the risks present in the infrastructures and systems for processing hydrobiological resources or products.

According to this system, during sanitary inspections, the risk category of the products is determined and the fishing and/or aquaculture infrastructure is classified according to the levels of risk detected.
