SUSTAINABILITY

Beach cleaning

To raise awareness about the importance of the beaches, we carry out several volunteer beach clean-ups.

HAYDUK HAYDUK

Peru generates almost 8 million tons of waste per year. Forty-six percent of the solid waste we find on our beaches is plastic.
Most of this plastic does not decompose in the sea and can last hundreds or thousands of years.

CHALLENGE:

Volunteer awareness: Promote values for the care of the environment and respect for public areas.
Develop leadership skills and empower agents of change for conservation and sustainability.
Promote collective and collaborative actions to reduce plastic pollution on beaches.

With the commitment to support the reduction of beach pollution, the company Hayduk has been carrying out several volunteer clean-up activities with the objective of raising awareness of the important role that beaches play in the ecosystem and as habitat for many animals and plants.

As part of the company’s expectations is to promote values for the care of the environment and respect for public areas, as well as to promote collective and collaborative actions against plastic pollution of the sea. To achieve this, Hayduk has been carrying out several volunteer activities each year together with National Fisheries Society (SNP) and associated companies.
